Maintenance of hydraulic tiles

Hydraulic mosaic is a durable and resistant coating, but it requires proper care to keep it in optimal condition:

Regular cleaning : Clean regularly with a soft cloth or mop to remove dust and surface dirt. Avoid using abrasive or acidic cleaning products, as they can damage the mosaic surface.

Avoid contact with harsh chemicals : Make sure not to spill harsh chemicals, such as bleach or solvents, on the encaustic tiles. If a spill occurs, wipe it up immediately with a soft, damp cloth.

Protection against scratches : Place felt protectors or pads under furniture and heavy objects to avoid scratches on the surface of the hydraulic mosaic.

Keep the joints clean : If the hydraulic tiles have joints, make sure to keep them clean. Use a soft-bristled brush and nonabrasive cleaner to remove dirt and debris from the seals. Avoid using metal brushes that could scratch the surface.

Periodic sealing : Encaustic tile can benefit from periodic sealing to protect the surface and facilitate cleaning.

Additional precautions : Avoid using sharp or abrasive tools when cleaning encaustic tiles, as they may scratch the surface. Also, do not allow water or excessive moisture to accumulate in the mosaic area, as this could affect its long-term integrity.
